Total PARCO's Largest Miyawaki Forest inaugurated at Punjab University
Total PARCO is pleased to announce the inauguration of our 4th and largest Miyawaki forest this month. This significant milestone is a culmination of our green initiatives in the recent years. Covering an area of 87,000+ square feet, this green haven is a home to over 12,000 plants in the heart of the botanical gardens of University of the Punjab.
Miyawaki is a forest regeneration technique that aims to recreate self-sustaining multi-layered indigenous forests on degraded land with little human intervention. Utilizing this valuable method of forestation, Total PARCO is proud to be playing its part towards a carbon-neutral future.
We thank the management of University of the Punjab, for their efforts in making this collaborative project a success. This forest provides an invaluable opportunity to the students of University of the Punjab, blending together two priority areas important to TPPL – Youth Inclusion and Care for the Environment.
Total PARCO will continue to scale our efforts with sustainable actions that drive real impact.
